                                                                     NARRATIVE TEXT

1.                       Definition of  narrative text is text in written form.  Narrative has social function that is to tell stories either in present which is called present narrative . to purpose is to enertain the readers, create, stimulate emotions, motivate and use simple past tense. The example of narrative text is Fairy stories,fables, legend,and etc.

2.                    Generic structure of narrative text
·        Orientation
Introducing the participant and informing the time and the place introduce the chacaracter (it answer the question: who,when,what,where)
·        Complication
Describing the rising crises or a problem arises, usually involves the main characters or among participant relationship in process of social interaction.
·        Resolution
which the characters finally sort out the complication after giving a squence of events where the characters react to the complication
·        Coda
Which summarizem the point of the story and moral message we may get


3.     Language form
·        Using processes verbs :tell,says,narrates
·        Using temporal conjunction :chronological order
·        Using simple past tense: present tense,future tense,perfect tense, present continuous and past continuos.

                                                                                                                                                                               
                                                                     Descriptive text

  •    Definition of descriptive text is text which says what a person thing is like, its purpose is to describeand reveal a particular person,place or thing, or expaint something from where the objects located.


  •    Generic structure of descriptive text
·        Topic sentence
·        Supporting sentence
·        Concluding sentence
·        Logical development


  •    Languagage form descriptive                                                                         
  • Using linking verb or verb of senses such as look,smell,taste start
  • Using three parameter of senses:visual,auditory and smell
  •  Using spatial order in which preposition procedes the verb and the   subject
  • Using multiple tenses based on the time:past, present and furure

                                                   Expository text

  •    Definition of expository text is written by authors to explaint, to describe, to        present information using little dialogue,fact and illustration
  •      Generic structure  of expository text    
  •   Topic sentence  
  •   Supporting sentence:example,detail,first,second and chart
  •  concluding sentence


  •    Language form
·                            Using process verb: begin,start,continue,become,remain
·                            Using indefinite transtions
·                            Using question work mark, such as how and
·                            Using charts,grapics, etc
